・SIG（エス・アイ・ジー）が了解の意味。ちなみにはサンダーバードではFAB（エフ・エー・ビー）。新エンディングで「スペクトラム　イズ　グリーン」という英語の歌詞があり、日本語では「合言葉はSIG」と訳されていました。

１話　キャプテンスカーレット誕生・THE MYSTERONS（直訳、ミステロン登場）

西暦2068年、火星探検車に乗る３人の地球人。火星上で見慣れぬ構造物を発見。探検者のブラック大尉は攻撃を受けると判断し先制攻撃をした。しかし、破壊された構造物はみるみるうちに復元され、ミステロンと名乗った。

そして、この事件をきっかけにミステロンは地球上の全生命を絶滅すると宣戦布告した。同時にブラック大尉はミステロンに洗脳され大統領暗殺指令を受ける。

５話　北部地球防衛軍あやうし！・AVALANCHE（直訳、雪崩）

北部地球防衛軍基地の中央指令室のシーンから始まる。銀世界にある各基地の外は氷点下28℃、それゆえ各基地内の温度・湿度は常に調整しておかないといけないため、雪上補給車が巡回している。

あと３分で捜索を打ち切りというところで、XQRの乗員からクラウドベースに連絡が入り、XQRは着艦した。

今回の追跡戦闘車は「A75」、AULD LANG SYNE（スコットランド民謡、蛍の光と同じつづり）の看板のある、おそらくウィスキー工場。

１６話　消えたロケット・RENEGADE ROCKET（直訳：裏切りのロケット）

スペクトラム基地から高速艇で帰路につくリープス少佐。そして彼はスペクトラムの依頼でコンコードミサイル基地を訪問した。だがその時、彼はブラック大尉により、すでにロボットにされてしまっていたのだった。コンコード基地から放たれたVGRロケットの行方は？その狙いは？

（ちなみにコンコード基地のレーダーの中心画像がなぜか日本列島でした。ということは、コンコード基地は日本にある？）

Major Leaps is on his way home from Spectrum Base in a high-speed boat.And he visited the Concord Missile Base at Spectrum’s request.

However, at that time, he had already been turned into a robot by Captain Black. Where is the VGR rocket released from Concord base? What is the purpose?

(By the way, for some reason the center image of the Concord base’s radar was the Japanese archipelago. Does this mean that the Concord base is in Japan?)

１７話　ミステロン基地を爆破せよ！・CRATER 101（直訳：クレーター101）

月の裏側の噴火口101にミステロンの基地があることがわかった。そこでホワイト大佐は「基地の破壊の前に潜入し、基地を再生させてしまう能力を見つけて取り除く」そして「基地の破壊」の２つ作戦を立てた。

早速ミステロンは「基地に潜入する者は殺す」と予告してきた。

果敢にもブルー、グリーンそしてキャプテンスカーレットが命がけの作戦に参加した。

It turns out that there is a Mysteron base in crater 101 on the far side of the moon. So Colonel White devised two strategies: “Infiltrate the base before it is destroyed, find and remove the ability to regenerate the base” and “Destroy the base”.

The Mysterons immediately declared that they would kill anyone who entered the base.

Bravely, Blue, Green and Captain Scarlet take part in a life-and-death operation.

１８話　ミニ衛星をとばせ！・SHADOW OF FEAR（直訳：恐怖の影）

スペクトラムはミステロンのいる火星に観測衛星を飛ばした。その衛星から送られてくる画像を、スカーレットとブルー大尉はK14観測所で心待ちにしていた。

ちなみに衛星は火星から33,000km付近。地球と火星との距離は7000万km。ついにスペクトラム基地が移動する。

Spectrum sent an observation satellite to Mars, where Mysteron is. At Observatory K14, Scarlett and Lieutenant Blue await the images sent from the satellite.

By the way, the satellite is about 33,000 km from Mars. The distance between Earth and Mars is 70 million km. Spectrum Base finally works.

１９話　スペクトラム基地あやうし！・DANGEROUS RENDEZVOUS（直訳：最も危険な待ち合わせ）

キャプテンスカーレットはとある研究所に立ち寄り、そこのカーリッツ博士とともにオーカー大尉が運転するタンクローリーに乗り、スペクトラム基地へ向かった。

そして17話でスカーレットが月から持ち帰った水晶の研究結果が発表された。ちなみにこの回では、ホワイト大佐とスペクトラム隊員との通信方法、SIGの意味を解説するシーンがありました。

Captain Scarlet, who stopped by a certain laboratory, boarded a tank truck driven by Captain Oker with Dr. Carlitz and headed for Spectrum Base.

油田の採掘所で採れた原油はスペクトラム製油所ベンシーバーに運ばれることになっていた。ところがミステロンの仕業によって油圧バルブが開けられ、採掘所は大爆発してしまった。

２１話　地球の首都を救え！・TREBLE CROSS（直訳：3回の妨害）

ブラック大尉に狙われた「男性二人が乗った車」は事故に遭ってしまった。一方、首都フューチュラシティの破壊を宣言してきたミステロン。

一方、先ほどの男性の一人はスレートン空軍基地のグラブナー少佐で、ミステロンによってロボットにされてしまった。

そして、偽のグラブナー少佐は核弾頭を積んだ戦闘機XK107に乗り込んだ。

この回で「ミステロンはロボットと本物の区別ができないという弱点」が判明。

The “car of two men” aimed at by Captain Black is involved in an accident. Meanwhile, Mysteron declares the destruction of Futura City.

Meanwhile, one of those men was Major Grabner of Slaton Air Force Base who was turned into a robot by the Mysterons.

And the fake Major Grabner boarded XK107, a fighter with a nuclear warhead.

In this episode, “Mysteron’s weak point where he can’t tell the real thing from the robot” was revealed.

２２話　アルプス上空の危機！・FLIGHT 104（直訳：104便のフライト）

世界的な天体物理学者のコンラッド博士がトマ湖会議に出席するため、スカーレットとブルー大尉は完璧な護衛をしていた。

さらにマゼンダ、グレイ、そしてオーカー大尉は会議の成功を死守するためスイスに向けて出発した。

一方、スカーレット達は民間機の104便「ノベナ空港発スイスのジュネーブ空港行き」に乗った。なぜそれにしたのかと言うと、スペクトラムの旅客機に乗るより目立たないという判断からだった。

Scarlett and Captain Blue are the perfect escorts for world-renowned astrophysicist Dr. Conrad to attend the Lake Toma Conference.

In addition, Magenta, Gray, and Captain Oker set out for Switzerland to ensure the conference’s success.

Meanwhile, Scarlett and the others board Flight 104, a private plane from Novena Airport to Geneva Airport in Switzerland. I did it because I thought it would be less noticeable than flying on a Spectrum airliner.

ミステロンは恐ろしい細菌K14を手に入れるため、イギリス・マンチェスター郊外にある細菌研究センターの秘書ジュディをロボットにした。そして「天使の土地を破壊する」とスペクトラムに予告してきた。

追跡戦闘車：021。ストーリーそして特撮ともに秀逸の回です。

To get hold of the deadly bacterium K14, the Mysterons turned Judy, the secretary of the Bacteria Research Center outside Manchester, England, into a robot. And he warned Spectrum that he would “destroy the kingdom of angels.”

２４話　北極の死斗！・NOOSE OF ICE（直訳：氷の罠）

エスキモー高圧変電所を目指していた北極探検車。予想より早く大型のブリザード（吹雪）が来てしまい、探検者の隊員は変電所に入ることができなかった。

一方、新型の火星用ロケットにはトライトニュームという希少な鉱物が必要で、その鉱脈が北極の海底にあることが判明した。

Meanwhile, new Mars rockets will need a rare mineral called Tritonium found on the ocean floor of the Arctic.

２５話　原子炉爆発寸前！・EXPO 2068（直訳：2068博覧会）

熱安全バルブを搭載した原子炉を、大西洋側のマニクーガン・ダム発電所に運搬することに。万が一運搬中に熱安全バルブが故障し200℃を超えると核爆発が起きてしまう。

運搬車を狙っていたブラック大尉の目的は何なのか？

The reactor, equipped with thermal safety valves, will be transported to the Manicou Gundam power plant on the Atlantic side. If the thermal safety valve fails during transportation and the temperature exceeds 200°C, a nuclear explosion will occur.

12時間以内にプレジデント・ロベルトを暗殺すると予告してきたミステロン。同じ頃、新聞社所属のジョット機が飛び立ったが、雷雨によってトラブルが発生した。目的は大統領の記者会見を取材するためだった。

The Mysterons have announced that they will assassinate President Roberto within 12 hours. Around the same time, a jot plane belonging to a newspaper company took off, but trouble occurred due to a thunderstorm. The purpose was to cover the president’s press conference.

応用電子工学のカーニー教授はリモコン１つで部屋中のものを操作する。まさに現代を予見しているストーリー。

その彼の命をブラック大尉が狙う。

そして「ヨーロッパの３首脳の暗殺」を予告してきた。

一方、バンドン基地に向かうスカーレット達。そのバンドン基地で、10人規模の銃撃戦や正体不明の戦車が襲ってきた。しかし・・・

Applied Electronics Professor Kearney controls an entire room with one remote control. A story that foresaw the modern age.

Captain Black wants his life.

And he predicted “the assassination of three European leaders.”

Meanwhile, Scarlett and the others head to the Bandung base. At the Bandung Air Base, a firefight of 10 men and an unidentified tank attacked. but···

２８話　地獄の猛火！・INFERNO（直訳：大火）

宇宙船「SKR4」号は、故障したロケットの破壊の任務についていて、爆薬は通常の５倍の量を積んでいた。

そしてミステロンは高原にあるナハマ工場を破壊すると宣言してきた。太平洋から海水をくみ上げ灌漑用水をつくっていて、破壊されると近隣は砂漠化してしまう恐れがある。

オーカーとマゼンダは高原の南と北の入り口、スカーレット達は工場を見下ろせる寺院に赴きミステロンの襲撃に備えた。

The spacecraft “SKR4” was on a mission to destroy a malfunctioning rocket with five times the usual amount of explosives.

And Mysteron declares that he will destroy the Nahama Factory on the plateau. It pumps up seawater from the Pacific Ocean to create irrigation water, and if it is destroyed, there is a risk that the surrounding area will turn into a desert.

Ocher and Magenta go to the south and north entrances of the plateau, while Scarlet and the others go to the temple overlooking the factory to prepare for Mysteron’s attack.

２９話　裏切者は誰だ！・TRAITOR（直訳：裏切り者）

一部音声の乱れあり

オーストラリアにあるスペクトラムのコアラ基地。地上を走る新型のホーバークラフトの走行テストを兼ねた偵察をしていた2人の隊員。

しかし、彼らは不慮の事故に見舞われてしまった。

ミステロンは「スペクトラムに裏切り者がいる」と通告してきた。ホワイト大佐は「ミステロンの言葉に惑わされないように」と隊員の動揺を封じたが。

感想として、１話の回想シーンが長い回でした。当時、スタッフの休憩時期だったのでしょうか。

シンフォニーの救出か？それとも基地の防衛か？

ホワイト大佐をはじめスペクトラムの隊員達は緊張の時を過ごす。

An angel’s plane carrying Symphony crashes in the desert. Meanwhile, the Mysterons announce an attack on Spectrum Base.

Rescuing Symphony? Or Stronghold Defense?

Colonel White and the other members of Spectrum are having a tense time.

 

３２話（最終回）Final episode　スペクトラムの暗号をねらえ！・THE INQUISITION（直訳：尋問）

スカーレットとブルー大尉はピアノの生演奏のあるレストランでディナーを楽しんでいた。その時、コーヒーを飲んだブルーは意識を失い、何者かに連れ去られてしまった。

意識を取り戻したブルーは自分がスペクトラム基地にいることに気付いたが、目の前にいたのは本物のホワイト大佐ではなかった。

Scarlett and Captain Blue are enjoying dinner in a restaurant with live piano music. At that time, Blue who drank coffee loses consciousness and is taken away by someone.

Upon regaining consciousness, Blue finds himself in Base Spectrum, but the real Colonel White is not in front of him.
